SUBMISSION DEADLINE

Nominees who agree to move forward with their nomination must submit all supporting documentation by 11:59 p.m. on September 16, 2024. 

After this deadline, the committee reserves the right to extend the deadline for a SPECIFIC category and solicit additional entries in the event that there are less than two entries in the category in question.

ENTRY COMPLETION

Create your member account.

  • Select the category you wish to enter and submit your information according to the specifications for the category. For Entry Title, please use your Name.
  • All supporting materials listed are REQUIRED.
  • Include a high-res (300 dpi or larger) electronic copy of your personal head shot for marketing materials. 
  • Entries will be saved in your member account and can be edited up until the entry deadline. If you require assistance with submissions, please contact our office at creative@barrie.ca. 

FINAL NOTES

  • The City of Barrie reserves the right to disqualify incomplete submissions without notice. 
  • Acceptance of submissions received is at the discretion of the City of Barrie.
  • All entrants agree to be bound by these rules.

JUDGING PROCESS

Independent Panel of Judges consists of external key community figures from across Ontario who bring their professional experience and unique perspectives to the panel. Together, they assess each submission and determine which companies deserve awards in each category. Judges will review the submissions and rate nominations against provided criteria through a secure online system to determine the top three finalists in each category.

City of Barrie staff are not involved in selecting nominees or finalists.

AWARDS NIGHT

The Barrie Arts Awards will take place on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the MacLaren Art Centre. Stay tuned to Creative Barrie's Instagram and Facebook for event details.
